Carving pumpkins requires much concentration.
Taking out the goop.
How a teenage boy carves a pumpkin.
The finished products. You can easily figure out who's is who's by considering personalities.
Here is what the Hurricane did in our area. (There were also a few downed trees but not as many as I expected to see. These pictures were taken Tuesday morning after high tide. (Wish I would have seen it at high tide Monday night and Tuesday morning, it was probably crazy.) We received very little rain so all of this flooding is from the storm surge that traveled 52 miles up the river.
The posts are the guardrails along the road at the edge of the practice field. The tree line is usually the shore.
These docks are usually next to shore.
The whole pier is submerged and the water was still almost on the train tracks.
The is the promenade and the helicopter pad that sits at the river's edge.
Here the water traveled up and over the train tracks and then onto the track and field. See all the debris washed in the corner of the track.
Water is still trapped after it flowed over the tracks and then couldn't get back out to the river.
Halloween was postponed one day to get all of the small limbs and branches cleaned up so that trick-or-treating wouldn't be dangerous.

Love the costumes and pumpkins. So B, is it easier to cut or shoot a Jack-O-Lantern? I know which is more fun!
